MURRIETA, CA — Another pizzeria is coming to Murrieta.

Blaze Pizza, which launched with funding from Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, will officially open its first Murrieta location on Tuesday at 28210 Clinton Keith Road. Then all day Wednesday, the location will give away free 11-inch pizzas with toppings of choice to residents who load the Blaze Pizza app on their phone and show it at the register. No purchase is necessary, according to the company.

The free pizza offer is valid only in-store and not online or with delivery services, the company said.

Blaze Pizza’s new Murrieta restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant is kicking off November with some all-day local fundraisers: On Nov. 15, 25% of the day's sales will go to Wildomar-based Animal Friends of the Valleys, and on Nov. 17 the same portion of sales will go to Vista Murrieta High School, according to the company.

The new restaurant is owned and operated by Southern California-based R&J Restaurants. The store’s manager is Murrieta resident Amber French Jones, who has been with R&J Restaurants for more than five years and previously oversaw Blaze’s Temecula location, the company reported.

James' investment in Blaze Pizza has, reportedly, been quite lucrative, although it's not his only money-making venture. The billionaire basketball player has also invested in other companies, including Fenway Sports Group, Sprill Hill Entertainment, Uninterrupted, Ladder and others.
