Man Accused Of Molesting Young Girl At Menifee Park
The man was arrested on suspicion of child molestation and performing lewd acts on a child under 14, records show.
MENIFEE, CA — A 21-year-old man is in custody Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl at a park in Menifee. The assault was first reported as an "attempted sexual assault" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at La Ladera Park at 29629 La Ladera Road, according to sheriff's Sgt. Curt Harris.
"While officers were enroute to the call, they learned a sexual assault did, in fact, occur," Harris said in a news release. "When police officers arrived, they learned several parents who witnessed the incident chased 21-year old Roland George Riddell from the park and detained him for the officers."
Riddell was arrested on suspicion of child molestation and performing lewd acts on a child under 14, according to online inmate records. He is being held in lieu of a $55,000 bond.
