Man ID'd In Deadly Crash East Of Murrieta
The motorcyclist died after crashing down a hillside, officials said.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County coroner's officials have publicly identified a man who died in a weekend hillside crash near Sage. He was 41-year-old David Williams of Temecula.
Williams crashed on a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle around 5:15 p.m. Friday as he was was headed westbound on East Benton Road, near Ruth Road. Coroner's and CHP officials say he was thrown approximately 150 feet down a hillside upon hitting a raised asphalt curb.
The victim was wearing safety equipment at the time, according to the CHP.
