Man Killed In Fiery I-215 Weekend Rollover Crash

The crash happened early Saturday, according to fire officials.

PERRIS, CA — Coroner's officials on Monday had yet to identify a man who was killed in a fiery crash on the 215 freeway over the weekend.

The deadly wreck was reported at 2:59 a.m. Saturday on I-215, just north of the Highway 74 offramp, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The vehicle caught fire when it rolled off the roadway and the victim was trapped inside, the fire department and California Highway Patrol reported.

Coroner's officials told Patch on Monday that the man's identity was pending.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported. The CHP is handling the investigation into the crash.
