Man Killed In Murrieta Motorcycle Crash
A man was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with a sedan at an intersection in Murrieta. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
MURRIETA, CA — A 23-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Murrieta, police said Saturday.
Around 8 p.m. Friday night the Ducati motorcycle was reportedly heading north when the rider collided with a Toyota Corolla making a left turn in the intersection of Whitewood Road and Meadowlark Lane, according to the Murrieta Police Department and other reports from the scene.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers arrived and found the male rider lying in the roadway as passersby tended to him, according to reports from the scene. Witnesses told police that the impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the bike.

He suffered traumatic injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. The Riverside County coroner's office identified the victim as Amarpaul Gill of Murrieta.
Police said the driver and passengers in the Toyota suffered minor injuries.

Whitewood Road was shut down in both directions for hours, Murrieta police said. The crash is still under investigation.
