Man Seriously Injured In Halloween Fight In Murrieta

MURRIETA, CA — Police Saturday were investigating an alleged assault that resulted in a man suffering serious injuries in Murrieta.

Officers responded to the intersection of Margarita Road and Grove Way at around 11 p.m. Friday to a report of an assault, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

Witnesses reported that an altercation took place between two men, and of them was rushed to a hospital with several serious injuries, police said.

Several witnesses remained at the scene and were interviewed by authorities, but investigators believe there may be additional witnesses who left the area before police arrived.

Police requested the public's assistance and asked anyone who observed the altercation, captured any video footage or has information that could assist in the ongoing investigation to contact detective Jennifer Mehr at 951- 461-6369.
