Jesus Sanchez Ponce, 39, of Mecca, remains at large for the alleged Aug. 13 shootings of Roberto Enciso Catstillo, 45, and Juan Enciso Catstillo, 41, both of Menifee. Both men were found dead just before 11 p.m. at a home at 25720 Waldon Road in Menifee, according to county coroners.

According to sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero, Ponce was last seen driving a brown 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck, with a California license plate of 8H85193. He should be considered armed and dangerous, the sergeant said.

Ponce was charged with two counts Thursday while Gustavo Perez Iturriaga, 43, of North Shore, was arrested Tuesday on Avenue 70 in Mecca for allegedly aiding or helping Ponce conceal the shooting.

Iturriaga is charged with being an accessory after the fact, though how he allegedly aided Ponce was not disclosed by deputies. Iturriaga, being held on $500,000 bail, pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta. He is set to return to court Sept. 5 for a felony settlement conference.

Anyone with information on the shooting or Ponce's whereabouts was asked to contact Master Investigator Alfaro from the Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3528.
