Menifee School District Names Teachers, Classified Employees Of 2023

Help celebrate the 2023-24 Menifee Union School District Educators of the Year.

MENIFEE, CA — What's in an outstanding educator? A mixture of dedication, leadership and innovation in their respective roles, the Menifee Union School District said in a recent announcement that revealed its list of outstanding educators named as the District Educators of the Year.

"These individuals have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and innovation in their respective roles, contributing significantly to the success of our schools and the students they serve," a spokesperson for the district said in a recent news release that announced winners and their categories.

  • Certificated Administrator of the Year: Peyton Davis, Assistant Principal, Menifee Valley Middle School
  • Classified Administrator of the Year: Stephen Radelicki, Technology Supervisor, Technology Innovator Support Department
  • Site Support Employee of the Year: Kory McPherson, Speech Language Pathologist, Hans Christensen Middle School
  • Principal of the Year: Stephanie Acosta Elementary Principal, Herk Bouris Elementary School
  • School Counselor of the Year: Evelyn Rodriguez, School Counselor, Kathryn Newport Middle School
  • Teacher of the Year:
    • Misty McBee, Harvest Hill S.T.E.A.M. Academy
    • Shawna Robinson, Oak Meadows Elementary School
  • Classified Employee of the Year: Pamela Guzman, Attendance Clerk/Registrar, Hans Christensen Middle School & Menifee Virtual School
  • Confidential Employee of the Year: Sarah Mc Amis, Assistant Superintendent’s Secretary, Business Services

The District Superintendent, Dr. Jennifer Root, expressed her appreciation.

"These exceptional educators were selected for their commitment to excellence, passion for education, and their positive impact on students and colleagues," Root said. “I am so proud of our District Educators of the Year! Each of them plays a crucial role in creating the best learning environment for our students. Their recognition is well-deserved, and their work is exemplary of our staff across the district.”

"The Menifee Union School District is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding educators.

"Each winner will move on to compete in their category at the county level, which includes all 23 school districts in Riverside County.

"In the 2021-2022 school year, Menifee’s Confidential Employee of the Year, Mrs. Tara Surguine, was selected as the Riverside County Confidential Employee of the Year.

"In the 2022-2023 school year, Menifee’s Principal of the Year, Daphne Donoho at Táawila
Elementary was selected as the Riverside County Principal of the Year," the news release stated.
