Motorcycle Vs. Prius Crash Stalls I-215 Morning Commute Through Riverside

A two-vehicle injury crash in Riverside stalled morning traffic from Perris to Moreno Valley.

RIVERSIDE, CA — The commute along I-215 northbound was heavy Tuesday after a motorcyclist was downed in lanes, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch reports.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., a gray motorcycle and white Toyota Prius both in the HOV lane, collided just south of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Riverside.

The rider was downed, but conscious and breathing as the Riverside Fire Department medics evaluated his condition, according to dispatch reports. The Prius required a tow from the scene, as did the motorcycle.

By 9 a.m., the traffic through the area remained "slow and go," through the area, affecting commuters as far south as Cactus Avenue in Menifee, and the westbound I-60 and Indian Street in Moreno Valley.

Drivers should pack their patience getting through this area, or seek alternate routes.
