Murrieta 2022 Election Results Are Final: Here's Who Officially Won

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta will see changes on its City Council and on the Murrieta Valley Unified School District governing board starting next year.

The changes are official after final certified results for Riverside County's Nov. 8, 2022, General Election were posted Thursday night by the Registrar of Voters, though recounts can still be requested through Tuesday.

Murrieta's newly elected leaders are (close races are denoted with an *):

Murrieta City Council District 2 (no incumbent in this race)

• Cindy Warren (incumbent)

Murrieta Valley Unified School Board, Trustee Area 1 (incumbent was Takesha Cooper)

• Nicholas Pardue

Murrieta Valley Unified School Board, Trustee Area 2 (no incumbent in this race)*

• Nancy Young

Murrieta Valley Unified School Board, Trustee Area 3 (incumbent was Ellen Larson)

• Julie Vandergrift

State Assembly, 71st District (no incumbent in this race)

• Kate Sanchez

State Senate, 32nd Senatorial District (no incumbent in this race)

• Kelly Seyarto

U.S. Representative, 48th District

• Darrell Issa (incumbent)

Note: Murrieta Planning Commissioner Jon Levell was appointed in August to serve as councilmember for Murrieta City Council District 1. He will be sworn into office later this month to replace Jonathan Ingram who termed out this year. Ingram announced he will run for a Riverside County supervisor seat in 2024.
