Murrieta Area Gas Price Records Largest Increase Since July 3
The jump in the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline comes after it dropped 23 times in 25 days.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County recorded its largest increase since July 3 Friday, rising 1.7 cents to $3.509 after dropping 23 times in 25 days.
The average price dropped 9.5 cents over the past 25 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Thursday, to its lowest amount since March 26, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It had not changed by more than two-tenths of a cent for five consecutive days.
The average price is four-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but 9 cents less than one month ago and 1.7 cents lower than one year ago. The average price has risen 24.1 cents since the start of the year.
