Murrieta Area Gas Price Sees Largest Daily Increase Since May 23

The average price of a gallon of gasoline jumped by the most amount in three months, data shows.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County recorded its largest daily increase since May 23 Thursday, rising six-tenths of a cent to $3.509.

The increase comes one day after a stretch of seven decreases in eight days that totaled 3.1 cents and dropped the average price to its lowest amount since April 10 ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 5 cents lower than one month ago but 57.4 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 43.6 cents since the start of the year.
