Murrieta Attack Halloween Night 'Seriously Injures' One Person, Witnesses Scatter
The Murrieta Police are seeking witnesses to a fight that ended with one person unconscious and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Police Department is actively investigating a serious assault that occurred on Halloween night, which left one person unconscious, police say.
On Friday, between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., officers were called to the scene of a brawl near the intersection of Margarita Road and Grove Way in Murrieta, according to the department.
During the incident, two adult male subjects were at the core of the altercation, Det. Jennifer Mehr said. "As a result, one individual sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment."

Though many fled the area, several witnesses remained at the scene and were interviewed by responding personnel, according to Mehr.
Now, investigators want to talk with witnesses to the fight who left the area before police arrived.

"The Murrieta Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance," they said. "If you observed the altercation, captured any video footage (cell phone or surveillance), or have information that could assist in this ongoing investigation."
A teenager in Temecula was also reportedly knocked unconscious during an altercation on Halloween night in the Harveston area. It was not currently known if the two incidents were related.
