Murrieta Chamber to Launch Mobile App

There will soon be an app for that, says the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce about a free mobile app it is launching soon.

To deliver more value to members, and the community, the app will be available beginning the week of Oct. 31. 

“In today’s tech-focused world, we realized a mobile app is the best way for us to connect with the community using technology," said Rex Oliver, President/CEO of the .

“Our new mobile app will deliver tremendous value to not only our members, but also the community as a whole. We see this mobile app becoming THE destination for mobile Internet users seeking information about the Murrieta area.”

The app will allow users to find Chamber members in the directory, search and register for events, stay up-to-date on community news, and view and redeem special discounts.

The Murrieta Chamber Mobile App is a smart investment today, and it will continue to benefit the community for years to come, Oliver said in a news release.

Oliver pointed out that, according to the Nielsen Company, not only will half of Americans own a smartphone capable of using web apps by Christmas of this year, but smartphones will be the majority stakeholder in the U.S. cellphone market.

Oliver said this means by next year, half of Americans will have access to phones and portable devices capable of accessing mobile web.

In addition, according to Nielsen, mobile web is fast overtaking desktop Internet as the most popular online tool.

“We’re very excited," Oliver said. “Our new mobile app will put our members and our community on millions of mobile devices. This means no matter where people are, or what they’re doing – they will have access to valuable information about Murrieta and our members.”
