Murrieta Innovation Center presents Evening of Innovation
A Showcase of Life Sciences Start-Ups

Murrieta, CA: The Murrieta Innovation Center (MIC,) Impact Southwest Riverside County (Impact SWRC,) and other partners are proud to host the 2nd Evening of Innovation at beautiful South Coast Winery on June 14. This event features inspiring presentations directly from 12 life sciences start-ups that are incubating in the MIC. Keynoting the event is Tara Lynn Gray, Director of the Office of the Small Business Advocate, California. She will be sharing her thoughts on Innovation in California and how it sets us apart from every other location in the world.
The MIC, owned by the City of Murrieta and operated by Impact SWRC, is currently home to a total of 12 life sciences start-ups, with focuses ranging from DNA and genomic sequencing to cancer diagnostic research and applications. It was recently awarded a $3 Million Federal EDA Grant to support a new wet lab, a clean room, a new dry lab, and the renovation of existing office and conference spaces to the MIC.
With start-ups like Murrieta Genomics is itself incubating genomic based innovators in their lab, the only genomics lab that specializes in supporting startups in our region. President/CEO of Impact SWRC, Patrick Ellis noted that “With such a health-care focused region, we are thrilled to highlight and offer well-deserved exposure for the entrepreneurs that work hard at creating solutions for healthcare’s most difficult challenges. Each of these start-ups have a unique perspective and those who are interested in the next big thing in life science innovation should pay attention.”
