Murrieta Kicks Off Tour De Murrieta Bicycle Race, Festival, Concert In The Park And More
Watch out this weekend, drivers. Bicyclists will be out and about on city streets for the annual bike race, with concerts to follow.
MURRIETA, CA — The city of Murrieta is hosting its 21st annual bike race, the Tour de Murrieta, this weekend. The cycling sanctioned event attracts competitive cyclistts from across the nation, and culminates wiht a festival style atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Multiple roadways across town will experience intermittent closures in support of the racers, the city advised.
The 5K race begins Saturday at 7 a.m. as cyclists ride through the heart of Historic Downtown Murrieta.

"The 5K also welcomes timed runners, walkers, strollers and even dogs," a city spokesperson said. This is designed ot be an all-inclusive and approachable event for participants of all ages and abilities.
The day will culminate with a Concert in the Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday night at Town Square Park & Amphitheater, featuring live music from Shockwave.
