Murrieta Launches Its First E-Sports League For Adults
The city said the Adult E-Sports League provides residents with an "organized and engaging recreational experience."
MURRIETA, CA — The City of Murrieta has upgraded its community sports programs with the introduction of its new Adult E-Sports League, officials announced on Thursday.
City officials said the Adult E-Sports League, which is currently offers Madden NFL 26 and EA SPORTS FC 26, provides residents with an "organized and engaging recreational experience."
The registration period will be held from July 13 to Aug. 14, the city said. Participants must be at least 18 years old to join.
All participants will be required join the official Discord server — will be used for league announcements, match scheduling, results reporting, and more — before the season begins.
Participants must also own the game they are playing with other participants in the league, and be using either PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC that meets the minimum gaming requirements.
The city said it will not provide gaming systems, video games, internet service, or any online gaming subscriptions.
