Murrieta Man Charged With Murder, Dad Found Dead In Ivy St. Home
Carlos Neale Palmerin, 32, has been charged with murder in the killing death of his father.

MURRIETA, CA — A Murrieta man charged with murder in the death of his father is scheduled to be arraigned next month.
Carlos Neale Palmerin, 32, is slated to be arraigned Jan. 3 on one count each of murder and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, court records show. His arraignment was originally set for Dec. 16.
Palmerin is being held at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning with no bail set for him, jail records show.

According to the Murrieta Police Department, around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 12, officers responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle with a flat tire found running with keys in the ignition on Jefferson Avenue near Fig Street.
Officers tracked the vehicle's registered owner to a residence on Ivy Street. Inside the home, they found 54-year-old Ricardo Palmerin dead with "signs of a struggle," the department reported.

While the investigation was underway into the apparent homicide, a neighbor told officers his truck had been stolen by Carlos Palmerin, who was the dead man's son. Carlos lived at the Ivy Street residence, according to police.
Police believed Carlos had fled to Mexico, and on Dec. 13 he was detained at the San Ysidro border crossing as he attempted to re-enter the United States.
Jail records show Carlos was arrested at 12:30 a.m. at the border and was booked into county jail about four hours later.
Court records show that in 2015 Carlos Palmerin was convicted in Riverside County of resisting an officer.
