Murrieta Officials Plan Special Meeting Thursday Morning: What To Know, How To Watch

The meeting will be livestreamed as the City Manager and council talks goals and projects for the coming year.

MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta City Council is gathering in a special council meeting and workshop Thursday to talk priorities and goals for the city. The meeting, planned for City Hall Council Chambers at 8:30 a.m., will be live streamed on Facebook, they said, and it is open to the public.

The Mayor of the City of Murrieta and the Murrieta City Manager have called the special workshop of the city council to consider a variety of matters, and all council members were expected to attend.

The city manager will provide an overview of the workshop items and proceedings, and has asked for feedback and direction on the status of City Council priority projects, including updates since the Feb. 10, 2025 and March 18, 2025 meeting.

The plan is to discuss possible next top priorities to guide the council going forward, according to City Manager Justin Clifton. Each project will be prioritized as a Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 project during the session.

Among the large scale city projects currently underway or completed are: Fire Station 6 project; the Amphitheater Parking Lot project which has been completed; the Los Alamos Soccer Complex which is in process; the Keller Road Interchange to the I-215, which is in process; the Library Expansion, which is in process; and numerous others.
