MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Police Department released details Wednesday about a fatal motorcycle crash over the weekend.
Around 8 p.m. Saturday, Robert Reitz, 51, and his passenger 46-year-old Linda Bohigas-Acosta, were riding a blue Triumph Rocket 3 motorcycle northbound on Hancock Avenue when Reitz lost control of the bike and smashed into "a fixed object" off the roadway, according to police.
The Los Angeles-Orange County-area pair were ejected from the motorcycle north of Walsh Center Drive. Reitz was pronounced dead at a local hospital, and Bohigas-Acosta was in stable but critical condition, police said Wednesday.
