Aging Pipeline Repairs Could Disrupt Traffic, Water Service In Murrieta
The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District says residents may experience low water pressure, nose and traffic delays.
MURRIETA, CA — Residents in the area around California Oaks Road and Hancock Avenue of Murrieta may experience traffic delays, brief water interruptions and low water pressure as officials work to make repairs overnight Thursday into Friday, the city announced.
The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District says it is replacing aging water pipelines to ensure "safe, dependable service" for the Murrieta community.
On Thursday, a portion of the waterline will be shut down for nighttime construction beginning at 9 p.m. and through 5 a.m. on Friday morning. Officials said residents will still have water, but may experience low water pressure.

The upgrade is meant to prevent leaks, reduce maintenance needs and support growing demand, EVMWD said.
"Construction may cause temporary traffic delays, noise or brief water service interruptions," the agency said.
