MURRIETA, CA — The city of Murrieta showed up in force for the annual Tour de Murrieta over the weekend.

Shockwave played at the Amphitheater for this year’s first Concert in the Park.

That event will be held on April 18, from noon until 6 p.m. at Town Square Park & Amphitheater, according to the city. Admission, as always, is free and open to the public.

"We are thrilled to invite you, your loved ones, and friends to one of our city’s most cherished traditions: the 79th Annual Murrieta Firefighters BBQ," a spokesperson from the city said.

Come for smoked tri-tip, the best barbecue in town.

"To make sure everyone gets a taste, we'll be serving our tri-tip lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.," a spokesperson said. "Please do not wait. We sell out every year."

The Firefighter's BBQ has expanded for 2026, they say.

"Enjoy a larger space to stroll, shop the Vendors Market, and compete in the Cornhole Tournament," they said. "There will also be a Beer & Wine Garden, family games, and the exciting Fire Cadet Muster."

Whether you’re there for the music, the food, or just to enjoy what is usually a gorgeous April afternoon, we can’t wait to see you there.

Live entertainment will feature "It's Britney...Beep!" who will perform Britney Spears hits in a sing-along event.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together as a community, celebrate 79 years of service and tradition of Murrieta Fire, and enjoy a beautiful spring day in the park.
