Murrieta Summer Movies In The Park: What's Playing This Weekend

MURRIETA, CA —Murrieta is hosting its 2022 summer movies in the park throughout August, and the free screenings are all family-friendly.

Residents are invited to Town Square Park and Amphitheater (11 Town Square) for the fun. Bring your lawn chairs, a blanket and your favorite movie snacks. Well-behaved, leashed and friendly dogs are welcome to attend, too, according to the city.

All movie showings begin at dusk:

• 8/6 – Encanto: A Colombian teenage girl has to face the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.
• 8/13 – Sing 2: Buster Moon and his friends must persuade reclusive rock star Clay Calloway to join them for the opening of a new show
• 8/20 – Jungle Cruise: Based on Disneyland's theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles but with a supernatural element.
• 8/27 – Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: In the original version starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, a poor but hopeful boy seeks one of the five coveted golden tickets that will send him on a tour of Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory.
