Murrieta Swift Water Rescue Technicians to Receive Special Honor From Local Lawmaker
The trio is being hailed for their work in the rescue of a family in Murrieta.

MURRIETA, CA – Murrieta Fire and Rescue department members Captain Todd Bradstreet, Captain Sean DeGrave, and Engineer Michael Macalinao are being honored with a Certificate of Recognition from California State Senator Jeff Stone.
The three first responders are being recognized for a swift water rescue that occurred on January 22, 2017, in Yoder Wash, just east of the I-15 overpass in Murrieta.
As a family of four remained trapped inside their vehicle, rescue swimmers, with support from other members of Murrieta Fire and Rescue, systematically plucked a man, woman, and two small children from the nearly submerged vehicle. The crew was able to execute a strategic plan that required them to deploy a rescue line, swim to the pick-up truck, and pendulum back to shore without injury.
