Murrieta Teen Killed In Easter Sunday Crash Identified By Coroner

The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 10:50 p.m. at Murrieta Hot Springs Road, just east of Whitewood Road.

MURRIETA, CA — A Murrieta teen killed in a vehicle crash Easter night has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau, but few details about the incident were immediately available.

Sharmaine Legaspi, 17, was killed in the solo-vehicle crash reported at 10:50 p.m. at Murrieta Hot Springs Road, just east of Whitewood Road, the coroner reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's not clear whether Legaspi was a passenger or the vehicle driver. No arrests have been publicly announced.

Westbound Murrieta Hot Springs Road, between Old School House and Whitewood Road, was closed into Monday morning as part of an investigation into the fatal crash.
