Murrieta Youth Basketball Program Seeks Volunteer Coaches, Support

The Splash Boyz, a nonprofit organization, serves boys in elementary and middle school, provides young hoopers with opportunities to grow.

MURRIETA, CA — A Murrieta nonprofit basketball club for elementary and middle schoolers that develops young athletes through competitive youth basketball, mentorship, and character building is inviting community members to get involved through volunteer service and charitable support, according to a recent news release.

The Splash Boyz, a nonprofit organization, provides young hoopers with opportunities to grow both on and off the court by participating in AAU basketball tournaments throughout Murrieta and surrounding communities, they say.

Volunteers and supporters are essential to sustaining the organization’s mission of teamwork, discipline, confidence, and leadership.

Hilda Mateiu, the assistant manager at The Splash Boyz, discussed the program.

“Everything we do is centered on giving young athletes the tools they need to succeed, not just in basketball, but in life,” Mateiu said in the release. “Whether someone volunteers their time, donates resources, or helps spread the word, every form of support makes a meaningful difference.”

Volunteer Opportunities Available at The Splash Boyz

The Splash Boyz in Murrieta, CA, offer a range of volunteer roles, including:

  • Basketball Coaches and Assistant Coaches: Ideal for local high school and college players, experienced athletes, or anyone passionate about developing young talent. Volunteers help plan practices, support player development, and foster teamwork.
