Murrieta's Average Gasoline Price Rises Slightly

Currently, average prices are higher than they were last year, but lower than they were last month, according to AAA.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose three-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $2.981, one day after dropping three-tenths of a cent.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is seven- tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 16.1 cents higher than one year ago but 2.5 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

"Southern California gas prices are enjoying a rare few weeks of stability for this time of year," Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.

"We are not seeing any large movement thus far on wholesale or rack prices. Planned maintenance is scheduled soon at the Torrance refinery, so we'll have to see if that impacts pump prices."

Rack prices are what retailers pay on delivery.
