Murrieta Public Library Welcomes New Manager
The city announced that Melvin Racelis will be the library manager.
MURRIETA, CA — The city of Murrieta has introduced its new library manager this month, replacing the newly retired Elise Malkowski.
Melvin Racelis has joined the city as the library manager of Murrieta Public Library.
"Melvin comes to the city with over 14 years experience," a city spokesperson said. Racelis has served in a variety of roles, including Children's Services. He holds two master's degrees, including one in library services from the University of North Texas.
"Melvin joins a shortlist of very successful library managers in the City of Murrieta - City Government, including recently retired Elise Malkowski," the city said. "Since Elise retired, Agnes Rita has been serving as Interim library manager and has done an amazing job steering the library through COVID."
