A pinball museum is definitely something I never thought I would be going to nor would I actually have fun there. As I endured the hour long drive with my Father and my little brother. I keep thinking of how boring this event was going to be.
As we arrived at the Beaumont Museum of Pinball my brother and my dad were eager to get inside. I followed behind sluggish and bored already. As I stepped inside I was instantly hit with the smell of funnel cakes and the loud clanging of pinball machines.
I was instantly delighted to find that all of the games were free and not only were there Pinball machines but there were classic arcade games as well. I slowly started getting more joyful as my brother my father and I played these awesome classic games.

This place was filled to the brim with classic game enthusiasts and people who just wanted to get way from all the modern technology and kick it old school. Although you may see a couple people here and there recording for there YouTube channel. But, let’s be honest who wouldn’t want to record themselves trying to beat the Donkey Kong world record.
Although the ticket prices are somewhat costly they are cheaper than an amusement park. In fact this is was an amusement park only it was an amusement park of a different nature an amusement park for nerds. You could even feel the joy and excitement radiating of these adults as they were happily playing these games.

I walked around observing the people and occasionally stopped to play a quick game of pinball or get the fourth highest score in Asteroids. They had games from the 1930’s all the way to 2016 versions. Just walking around this place you can see how arcade games have easily evolved all the way up to the modern home video games.
The owner John is keeping an older generation of games alive. Along with many people who volunteer to service these machines. But, they wouldn’t be able to to this without the many supports who travel miles just to see this place. I invite all of you who read this to come join me next year. As this is something I would definitely travel back next March to experience once again.
