A grandparent of a 5th-grade Murrieta student proudly shouted out teacher Matt Klingelburg for "cheering on my grandson's independence."

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
This amazing teacher cheered on my grandson’s independence, self-esteem, and individual discovery while maintaining rules and authority. He encouraged him to grow and stand out but, above all, allowed him to stand up for himself. He is a teacher who goes above and beyond to help form the students as well as the young people they are to become!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
His time and dedication show his devotion. This is not just a job to him!
