Old Rx Pills? Get Rid of Them at 'Drug Take Back' at Southwest Sheriff's Station
The sheriff's department is hosting several events for "National Prescription Drug Take Back Day."

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department will collect unused prescription drugs later this month as a part of a national effort to get such meds off the street.
"The program allows members of the public to drop off potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction," according to sheriff's Lt. Jim Armstrong.
Armstrong said that five Riverside County sheriff's stations will take part in “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day" because many people don't know how to properly get rid of unused medicine.
"This initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issue," Armstrong said. "Many Americans are not aware that medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to misuse and abuse."
The collection service— which is free and anonymous with no questions asked— will be held at:
