Pair of Earthquakes Strike Near San Jacinto

The first quake struck after midnight and the second one about two hours later.

A pair of earthquakes shook parts of Riverside County early Wednesday morning.

The magnitude-3.7 temblor struck at 12:39 a.m., two miles north, north-west of San Jacinto and four miles north of Hemet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The second earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 rattled the area less than two hours later, at about 2:19 a.m.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
