Prom Dresses Still Needed
New or gently-used prom dresses can be dropped off at Murrieta Mesa High School or Azusa Pacific University Murrieta campus through Friday.

Those still wishing to donate prom dresses for use by high school students in Murrieta take note: the deadline is approaching.
It is the first year Murrieta Mesa High School's Interact Club is collecting dresses through its Students in the club, which is sponsored and supervised by the Rotary Club of Murrieta, are seeking to make a difference in the lives of girls in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.
The donation period ends Friday. The formal dresses may be dropped off at , or at 39573 Los Alamos Road.

"Please join us in the program by donating unwanted prom dresses to help a young lady have the prom of her life," said club adviser Reyna Reyna, a Murrieta Rotarian. "When dropping off dresses, please inform the front desk it is for the 'Cinderella for the Day' program."
Interact Clubs are active on all three comprehensive Murrieta high school campuses. The term "Interact" is derived from "inter" for international and "act" for action. The Interact clubs must perform annual projects of service to their school, community and the world, said Dennis McCarbery, spokesperson for the Rotary Club of Murrieta.

The Murrieta Mesa Interact Club is also in a leadership position for the annual pre-Thanksgiving Dinner and programming for the community at the high school cafeteria, in partnership with many aspects of the school including the Culinary Arts program, McCarbery said.
"A major goal of Interact is to provide opportunities for young people to create greater understanding and goodwill with youth throughout the world," McCarbery said.
