The truth of the matter is, Spray tanning actually makes you look more slender, and helps cover up imperfections like spider veins, and scaring. Myth #1 you’re going to look orange. There are many different spray tan solutions on the market today. At Liquid Sunshine Tan we use a custom formulated solution, called Bronze Therapy Ultra or Bronze Therapy Plus, which we guarantee will never make you orange. With the evolution of the industry, solutions can be customized for the palest skin tones to darker skin tones. No “Snooki” orange tans!
Myth #2 it’s going to smell. With every industry, all products evolve, and improve. Years ago, solutions and self-tanner creams did have a hideous odor to them. Fortunately for avid tanners, new technology has actually produced quality solutions that are scent free. The solutions we use at Liquid Sunshine Tan are fragrance free. Be sure to ask your spray tan provider or salons about the neutralizers or perfumes in the solutions they use, especially if your skin is sensitive to these types of chemicals. It is always good to ask what the ingredients are. Be very leery if they are reluctant to provide the information.
Myth #3 you’re spray tan won’t last more than 2 days. Surprisingly enough, spray tans work much like a real tan from the sun and a tanning bed, without the harm from the UV rays. Ironically, your color will continue to develop over 6 to 8 hours after your spray tan, and even after you take a shower. You can expect your tan to last for approximately 7-10 days.
