Rumor has it that now they are closing the Ralph's market on California Oaks Road... I have heard that the Senior Citizens from the Amanda Park Apartments and the Colony are upset about it.... understandably, for some of our elder treasures their days revolve around that shopping center.
Weather they are enjoying a cup of coffee and chatting with a friend, or going to Wal Greens for a scrip... they venture out to socialize and stretch their frail bodies, they feel their own independence...they love to be greeted at Chase bank and offered a nice refreshment or treat, a trip to the dollar tree could turn into a real fun adventure....
I know the building will not sit empty for to long but does anyone have any idea what is going in there yet?
I have been here for so long that people laugh when I tell them that the new Starbucks on Los Alamos Road started out being a Well's Fargo Bank and I rode in the stagecoach at the grand opening, the post office was a Von's Grocery store and the building permit office was a Long's Drug.....
They have finally heard the community and allowed the new EPIC roller skating rink in and a Trampoline establishment as well as building the new Youth Center.... yeah and the Senior center is very nice....
