RivCo Firefighters Rescue Person From Septic Tank

The person was rescued after falling into a residential septic tank on Saturday.

NORCO, CA — Firefighters successfully rescued a person who fell into a residential septic tank in Norco Saturday.

Crews responded to the 5400 block of Bluff Street at around 11:40 a.m. Saturday to a report of a person who fell into a residential septic tank about 15 feet deep, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters were using a ground ladder for access. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Environmental Health were requested to assist.

The person was successfully extricated at about 12:30 p.m. and taken to a hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

Identifying information on the person who fell was not immediately available.
