2 Riverside County Schools Briefly Locked Down
Romoland Elementary School and Mesa View Middle School were both placed on lockdown Tuesday.
ROMOLAND, CA — Mesa View Middle School in Menifee and Romoland Elementary School in Romoland were both placed on a brief lockdown Tuesday.
The lockdown was issued around 1 p.m. and lasted about 20 minutes, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Officials said Menifee police were investigating an incident in the area, which prompted the lockdown as a precautionary measure.
All students were safe during the lockdown.
