Diaz allegedly was traveling east on San Jacinto Avenue at "a high rate of speed," when she collided with two parked vehicles and the pedestrian, who was walking east along the shoulder of San Jacinto, the department said.
The pedestrian, not yet identified, was declared deceased at the scene, deputies said, adding that "deputies determined alcohol was a factor in the collision."
