Vista Murrieta loses a close game 3-2 as they face Maxpreps No. 1- rated player/pitcher for the state of California, Henry Owens, in the Loara Tournament championship game. Sophmore pitcher Tyler Russell of Vista Murrieta looked sharp again pitching three and two-thirds innings of shutout baseball in relief.

Despite giving up three unearned runs Vista Murrieta wins for the third time bringing their season record to 3-1. The Broncos were lead by freshman pitching sensation Selina Ta'amilo who won for the third straight time adding to her season stats which are: 3-0 with a zero ERA through 23 innings.
