Shooting Death Near Greer Ranch Lift Station In Murrieta Ruled Suicide: PD

The investigation revealed "no signs of foul play, and the incident was determined to be a suicide," Captain Jeremy Durrant said.

MURRIETA, CA — A weekend gunshot heard in the neighborhoods near Clinton Keith and California Oaks roads in Murrieta was a suicide, police confirmed Tuesday morning.

Neighbors called police just before 6 a.m. Saturday to report the gunshot, but officers didn’t find anything when they initially patrolled the area. Then, just after 8 a.m., the victim was found dead by their spouse near Clinton Keith Road and Nutmeg Street, according to Murrieta Police Department Captain Jeremy Durrant.

At the time the victim was found, multiple police vehicles responded to the Greer Ranch Lift Station located at 23644 Clinton Keith Road and appeared to be processing a single vehicle parked at the facility, a neighbor told Patch.
