Sheriff Honors Corrections Deputies

Six deputies were honored for their work during Correctional Officers' Week.

A half-dozen Riverside County sheriff’s deputies assigned to county jails were honored for outstanding work, department officials announced today.

The 2015 Correctional Deputies of the Year were selected by Sheriff Stan Sniff as part of the department’s commemoration of Correctional Officers’ Week, which ran May 3-9.

The deputies, who were recognized May 5 in front of family and friends as a “Celebration of Excellence” reception, are:

  • Kristin Bennett, Southwest Detention Center;
  • Gina Manzano, Robert Presley Detention Center;
  • Manuel Padilla, Blythe Jail;
  • Deanna Pecoraro, Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility;
  • Michael Redman, Indio Jail; and
  • Jason Wenker, Corrections Support Division.
