Sheriff's Helicopter Crew Makes Rescue In Menifee

An injured person had to be hoisted from an "inaccessible" area, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

MENIFEE, CA — A sheriff's helicopter was used Tuesday afternoon to rescue an injured person in Menifee.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the victim, who had suffered a "minor injury," was located in an "inaccessible" area in the 24500 block of South Canyon Drive.

Shortly before 3 p.m., the agency reported that firefighters were on scene. A Riverside County Sheriff's Department Rescue 9 chopper was summoned, and the crew hoisted the person to awaiting paramedics. The person was then transported to a local hospital by ground.
