Mess On I-215 In Murrieta Due To Trash Truck Fire: Photos
A SigAlert was issued late Monday morning on northbound I-215 in Murrieta due to a trash truck fire.
MURRIETA, CA — A trash truck fire late Monday morning on Interstate 215 in Murrieta prompted an emergency response that included the shutdown of all but one northbound freeway lane.
A CR&R truck was reported on fire around 10:30 a.m. near the Los Alamos Road on-ramp on the northbound side of the freeway.
A SigAlert was requested at 11 a.m. and a traffic break was set to be implemented on northbound I-215 at the Interstate 15 split, according to the CHP. The full shutdown, however, was canceled.

There were no immediate reports of injuries and there was no word on what started the blaze.
As of 11:19 a.m., the CHP reported the 2-3 lanes would remain closed for approximately 90 minutes. The agency re-posted at 1:30 p.m. that the lanes would remain closed until approximately 3 p.m.
