Smoke May Be Visible In RivCo During Fire Operation: Cal Fire
Thursday's prescribed burn is part of the Red Hill Vegetation Management Project.
PINE COVE-IDYLLWILD, CA — Riverside County residents were warned there may be smoke visible on Thursday during a a wildfire-prevention operation taking place west of Highway 243 near Pine Cove and Idyllwild, officials said.
The smoke visible from Thursday's prescribed burn is part of the Red Hill Vegetation Management Project (VMP), according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Officials said the prescribed burn is conducted under specific weather conditions to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health.
