Smoke Near March Air Reserve Base Visible For Miles
If you see smoke near Plummer Avenue, on the March Air Reserve Base, do not be alarmed, officials say.
MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, CA — Smoke seen rising from the March Air Reserve Base Monday was from a "live fire" training exercise, according to California Highway Patrol.
A tower of smoke was reported on the northeast side of the base at 8:45 a.m., but there was no cause for alarm, officials said.
The reserve base's controlled live training burns were expected to continue through noon Monday, according to reports.
