Supervisor Seeks Applicants For Municipal Advisory Council

Members of the Winchester/Homeland MAC serve as an advisory body to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.

Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington is looking to fill a vacant seat on the Winchester / Homeland Municipal Advisory Council (MAC).

Members of the Winchester / Homeland MAC serve as an advisory body to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors and advise on a variety of issues affecting the region — including, but not limited to, public health, public works, welfare, safety and planning. The council’s recommendations may be taken into consideration when the Board of Supervisors votes on issues pertaining to this region.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and residents of Winchester or Homeland. To see a map of the council’s boundaries, click here. Applicants also must be able to attend monthly meetings located at the Francis Domenigoni Community Center (32665 Haddock St., Winchester), once regular meetings resume. Meetings have been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. All members serve without compensation. Members must adhere to the Ralph M. Brown Act.

The appointee will serve until April 30, 2021, after which time he or she will be eligible to apply for a full, two-year term.
