'Suspicious Vehicle' Report Leads to Arrest of Murrieta Duo

Police say they contacted a man and woman after they got a call of a suspicious vehicle in a local neighborhood.

MURRIETA, CA- A Murrieta man and woman were arrested last week when someone called in a "suspicious vehicle" that was spotted in a local neighborhood late at night, police reported Tuesday.

According to Murrieta Police Lt. Tony Conrad, 33-year-old Zachary Heymer and 36-year-old Lisa Geiger were found in a car in the area of La Alba Drive and Big Dipper Way at 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

"A records check revealed that Mr. Heymer was on parole for burglary and mandatory supervision probation, also for burglary," Conrad said in a news release. "The check also revealed that Ms. Geiger was on probation for the possession of a stolen vehicle and also had a felony warrant for the possession of a stolen vehicle."

A parole search of the vehicle turned up narcotics paraphernalia, Conrad said.

Heymer was then arrested on suspicion of violating his parole and Geiger was arrested on the outstanding felony warrant, he said.

The duo was taken to the Murrieta jail where they remained as of Tuesday, according to booking records.
