Police announced the upcoming operation that's set for somewhere within Temecula.

TEMECULA, CA — Officers from the Temecula sheriff's station will be holding a DUI/driver's license checkpoint in town soon, it was announced Tuesday. The operation is slated for Friday, Aug. 23.
The checkpoint is set to begin at 8 p.m. at an undisclosed spot within the city limits of Temecula, according to sheriff's Sgt. Raemie Wood. It will last until 2 a.m. Saturday.
"DUI Checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests," a press release announcing the operation stated. "Deputies will be looking for signs of alcohol and / or drug impairment, along with deputies checking drivers for proper licensing."
The Temecula Police Department encouraged all motorists to always appoint a sober driver.
Funding for the checkpoint comes from state and federal grants.
