Thousands of Spectators Enjoy Marching Band Competition

The 9th Annual Tournament of Gold Marching Band Field Show Competition was held Saturday night at Bronco Stadium. More than 4,000 spectators packed the stands, with another 1,000 band and color guard members participating.

One school, Maple Mountain, traveled all the way from Utah to compete in the Class 1A Division.

Vista Murrieta placed 2nd in Class 5A with a score of 82.2 in Class 5A.

• 1st place - Ayala 86.7
• 2nd place - Vista Murrieta 82.2
• 3rd place - Mission Viejo 81.95
• 4th - San Marcos 80.9
• 5th place - Great Oak 74.3
• 6th place - Rancho Verde 70.9
