In Southwestern League action Tuesday night, Murrieta Valley defeated Vista Murrieta 67-66. The Nighthawks, led by Kevin Padlo's 25 points improved to 2-1 in league and 13-6 overall. Jacob Forte added 15 points on 5 3-pointers, and Mitch Lenhart scored 14. The Broncos (0-3 in league and 9-9 overall) were led by Specer Benson and Austin Beech, who both scored 20. Jacob Perry chipped in 11.
Murrieta Mesa lost to Temecula Valley 64-53. The Rams were led by Davon Sanders and Shondell Smith, who both scored 13 points, and Bryan Phan, who added 12. Murrieta Mesa fell to 1-2 in league and 10-9 overall.
